Concert news: Zac Brown Band to bring ‘Jekyll + Hyde’ tour to Save Mart Center
Zac Brown Band is known for pushing the boundaries of the country-music status quo, making its “Jekyll + Hyde” tour aptly named.
The tour, in support of an album of the same name, will stop Sunday, Oct. 18, at Save Mart Center. Tickets are $39.50-$74.50 and go on 10 a.m. sale Friday, Aug. 28, at the arena box office, at select Save Mart Supermarkets, online at ticketmaster.com or by calling (800) 745-3000. Pre-sales begin noon Tuesday, Aug. 25.
“We’re all continuing to grow up and get better as musicians, and the chemistry as a band continues to deepen,” Brown says. “Our boundaries have dissolved and we’re going to still do things that are somewhat familiar that people like, but we’re also going to stretch out and take chances beyond what we’ve done before. Some people are going to be really surprised,” the singer told Rolling Stone Country in November.
“Jekyll + Hyde” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 and has spent 16 weeks on the chart. The album is indicative of the band’s eclectic sound and features collaborations with Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell (“Heavy Is the Head”) and pop singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles (“Mango Tree”).
This is a return trip to Fresno for the band. Its 2013 tour also stopped at the Save Mart Center.
