The Soft Lions plays Peeve’s Public House
The Soft Lions do a psychedelic ’60s-ish kind of thing — which shows you the trouble one has trying to classify bands these days.
The San Diego trio mixes ’60s-era San Francisco pop with noisy garage guitar rock and draws inspiration from Sonic Youth records and “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” (the film, not the song). The band’s latest, a four-song 16-minute EP called “Spellbinder,” was released this month on Velvet Blue Music.
The Soft Lions play with Los Angeles psych-folk rock band Send Medicine.
