Tool tribute Arizona Bay comes to Strummer’s
The alternative art metal band Tool did a short run of shows last year, which included a stop at Fresno’s Selland Arena. Since then, the band has been fairly quiet, except for hints of a new album and the announcement of a headlining spot at the 2015 Monster Mash festival Halloween night in Tempe, Arizona.
While its not exactly Maynard James Keenan and company, the tribute band Arizona Bay is sure to appease fans longing to hear Tool’s music live on stage.
As a bit of trivia: Arizona Bay is reference to a lyric in the song “AEnema.” It’s also the name of a posthumously released album from the subversive comedian Bill Hicks, who was a friend of (and opened for) Tool.
