Beta State has played Fresno’s club scene — and the occasional thrift-store turned venue — for years.

Outside of Fresno, the three-piece San Francisco alternative rock act has built a strong audience music that pulls from Coldplay and Thirty Seconds To Mars. The band has played opening slots at arena shows for the likes of Green Day. The band also won a featured spot on Linkin Park’s “Underground XIII” album with its song “Change.”

Next weekend, Beta State plays San Francisco’s annual BFD festival, presented by the Bay Area radio station Live105.
