Ray Appleton’s rock band, The Appletones, to open Y&T show at Tower Theatre

Radio talk show host Ray Appleton has been known to sit in with local bands from time to time, most notably perhaps in the western band Sons of the San Joaquin.

Appleton shows his rock ‘n’ roll roots with his latest project, the Appletones. The band plays ’60s British invasion covers. The band plays Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Tower Theatre, opening for hard-rock pioneers Y&T.
