Fresno Famous: Young amputee inspires through CrossFit

After suffering from severe leg pain and other health problems, doctors were forced to amputate Veronica Pizana’s right leg below her knee. The young woman soon found a purpose in her disability: She began training in CrossFit and looks to inspire those around her through competition.

Craig Kohlruss put together a video profile of Veronica as part of The Bee’s Fresno Famous video project about unique personalities in the Valley.
