Did they just say Fresno? Bud Light Party edition
Beer giant Anheuser-Busch is cashing in on the campaign season.
Already, they’ve re branded their mainstay beer, Budweiser, to be more American. They have also launched the Bud Light Party, a pseudo political faction spearheaded by Amy Schumer and Seth Rogen and united by a love for light beer, apparently.
To further that cause, the company is sponsoring a series of Bud Light Conventions with “awesome onsite experiences and one of kind performances” from the likes of Ludacris, Big Sean, Flo Rida, Jason Derulo, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Dillon Francis and Justin Moore.
Also, plenty of beer, one assumes.
“The Bud Light Party stands for uniting all people and nothing does that better than a summer full of fun, good music and Bud Light. We’re thrilled to take the excitement on the road with our Bud Light Party Conventions announcing a unique lineup that is sure to make this campaign trail the highlight of the summer,” Bud Light vice president Alex Lambrecht, said in an actual press release.
The 13-city tour, which kicks off Friday, Aug. 5 in Phoenix, AZ, stops Sunday, Aug. 7 in Fresno, with a headlining performance from El Komander, a guy that NPR once called “the Jay Z of Mexican drug balladeers,” which seems to say something about what Anheauer-Busch thinks Fresnans are into.
The event is free to those over 21, but seating is limited and first come first served with RSVP, which you can do online at www.budlightpartyconvention.com.
