Daniel Arrigoni is retiring after 13 years at the Fresno Grand Opera. Special to The Bee

If you’ve ever bought a ticket in person for a Fresno Grand Opera performance or had occasion to visit the company’s office, chances are you bumped into Daniel Arrigoni. He always struck me as someone as cheerful as the sun, brightening my day whenever we interacted.

Arrigoni is retiring as box office manager and chorus administrator after 13 years with the company, and a special open house is being held for him 4-7 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at the opera office.

He served in numerous capacities with FGO, including box office Staff, production assistant, Team 200 Charter Impresario, and assistant stage manager. He has this to say as he retires:

It has been a wonderful, joyful, and memorable experience for me during these past 13 years, and at 68 years old, I want to slow-down the daily pace of my life. Every new capacity that I was asked to serve for, was learning, stretching, and challenging for me. I appreciate all the opportunities that Fresno Grand Opera has afforded me, and I will be forever grateful for the trust and confidence that was placed in me.

Thanks, Daniel, for your commitment to the arts.
