Did they just say Fresno? Ticketmaster edition

Long time Beehive readers may remember a sometimes feature we called “Did They Just Say Fresno?”

The idea, simply enough, was to post mentions of Fresno we saw out in pop-culture land. For instance, that time that Fresno State was mentioned on the sitcom Modern Family (though footage of what was supposed to be the campus was shot at UCLA). Or, the time Lady Gaga said her Grammy dress was made from materials from a shipping company in Fresno.

This “Did They Just Say Fresno” moment doesn’t have quite that much sizzle, but...

▪  LA Weekly’s music blog called out Ticketmaster for its (really pretty poor) handling of its class action lawsuit settlement with this tweet: “Any free shows left on #Ticketmaster today? That aren’t in, like, Fresno?” The accompanying blog post did not mention any of said concerts in Fresno, BTW, but from what I can tell at this point, there aren’t any concerts left here, either.
