Celebrate National Geek Pride Day early with a comic pub crawl through Tower District
Officially, National Geek Pride Day isn’t until next Saturday.
The annual celebration, inspired by nerd culture and informed by San Diego’s Comic Con and similar events, happens May 25 each year and is an opportunity to let your nerd flag fly, so to speak.
But you can celebrate early with the Comic Crawl 2019 Friday night in Fresno’s Tower District. A dozen bars and restaurants will be open to participants, who are encouraged to dress as a superhero/villain, sci-fi, horror or action character.
Details: 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Parking lot at Wishon and Echo avenues. $5 wrist bands in advance. 21 +. Search event on Facebook
