The entertainment choices around the central San Joaquin Valley this week are varied, to say the least.

In one corner, you have the most hyped boxing match of the last year, bar none. You also have one of Fresno’s longest-running cultural celebrations (the Greek Fest), the Friends of the Library’s massive used book sale and the make-up concert from country singer Chris Stapleton.

And that’s just the half of it. Here’s the best bets.

Los Lobos – Go to hear “La Bamba.” Stay for every other song the East Los Angeles band has done in its 40-plus year career. Fresno’s own Glen Delpit and the Subterraneans open. Details: 8 p.m. Friday. Fulton 55, 875 Divisadero St. $26-$30. 559-412-7400, www.fulton55.com

Mayweather vs. McGregor – Just how big of a deal is this matchup between boxing super star Floyd Mayweather and MMA standout Connor McGregor? Edwards Fresno Stadium 22 and IMAX. $40. 844-462-7342, www.fathomevents.com

Greek Fest – When we say Fresno Greek Fest, you say Opa! This is a Fresno tradition as rich as the 1,600 pounds of butter used to cook the 8,000 dolmades and 6,000 koulourakia the festival sold last year (fun facts from Fresnogreekfest.com).
