Amy Schumer is bringing stand-up act to Paso Robles

Stand-up comedian and actress Amy Schumer will perform in Paso Robles in September.

The “Trainwreck” star will take the stage Sept. 15 at Vina Robles Amphitheatre.

Known for her smart, insightful and frank approach to such taboo topics as sex and body image, Schumer is the Peabody Award-winning creator, co-producer, co-writer and star of the satirical sketch comedy series “Inside Amy Schumer.” The show’s fourth season premiered in April on Comedy Central.

Schumer’s other credits include “30 Rock,” “Saturday Night Live“ and “Seeking a Friend at the End of the World.” She also has a handful of comedy specials under her belt, including 2015’s “Amy Schumer: Live from the Apollo.”

Her new book, “The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo,” will be published Aug. 16 by Gallery Books.

Tickets for Schumer’s Sept. 15 show cost $65 to $139.50, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 28.
