In an attempt to boost interest in the Two Cities Marathon on Nov. 6, there will be an expo that includes a screening of the documentary “Transcend.”

The 2014 movie, directed by Michael Del Monte and Tad Munnings, will screen at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 17, at the Tower Theatre, 815 E. Olive Ave. It will be followed by a question-and-answer session with race officials.

“Transcend” is about Wesley Korir, 2012 Boston Marathon winner. He escapes the poverty of Kenya, but after winning multiple American marathons he returns home to help his fellow Kenyans create better lives for themselves.

The expo, starting at 1 p.m., is a way to encourage race registration. The fee to enter the half-marathon is $75 and for the full marathon is $95 until April 30. A $10 off coupon for registration is included on the back of the event ticket.

At the expo, Fleet Feet Sports training groups will discuss their different techniques and schedules used to prepare for the race.
