Fresno’s Chinatown hosts New Year parade and festival
According to the Chinese calendar, 2016 is the Year of the Monkey, which Fresno’s Chinatown community celebrates with the 16th annual Chinese New Year Parade and Festival.
The parade recognizes the downtown neighborhood, and will run down F Street from Tulare to Kern. There will be Gumyo Taiko drummers, lion dance performance teams, parade floats, plus activities for children, community outreach and a car show. The event is broadcast live on CMAC.
