Author to sign books in Visalia
Visalia resident and author Virginia Cercado will do a book signing at noon Dec. 12 at Visalia Mall, 2031 S. Mooney Blvd. in Visalia and at 11 a.m. Dec. 19 at La Mejor Del Valle, 684 S. Farmersville Blvd. in Farmersville. Cercado is the author of “The Runaway Tamale.”
Big HUGS for center
Forty students from various local high schools raised $30,367 for the Marjaree Mason Center through a campaign called HUGS – Helping Underprivileged Girls Succeed.
Break the Barriers receives gift
Fansler-Foundation raised $83,630 for Break the Barriers, a nonprofit organization helping to improve the lives of children with intellectual disabilities.
