Beloved Heavy Metal Legend Announces 2026 Tour With Special Guests

Chad Gray, the heavy metal icon behind the nu metal band Mudvayne, revealed an exciting announcement as he celebrates his decades-long career in music.

The 54-year-old musician, who began his legacy by forming the band with guitarist Greg Tribbett, drummer Matthew McDonough and bassist Ryan Martinie as the original lineup, is now embarking on a new chapter as he prepares to hit the road this year.

In an Instagram post, the Illinois native unveiled the schedule for his 30 Years of Madness Tour.

The 25-date concert kicks off in August with its opening show in Bloomingdale, Illinois, before wrapping up in Nashville, Tennessee in October.

Adding to the excitement, the iconic musician also invited two special guests, Butcher Babies and Devil's Cut, who will join him as supporting acts.

Apart from the tour details, Gray also expressed his thoughts about the upcoming tour.

In a lengthy message, he shared that he initially had doubts about this major project but was overwhelmed by the support of his fans, who convinced him to move forward with the idea.

"The initial five 30 years of Madness shows were absolutely incredible! The band, the fans, the venues and all involved completely blew me away. At the inception of this idea (that was supposed to be me playing these songs acoustically) I wasn't necessarily sure how it would be received. But since playing these shows, seeing the amazing turn out from the Metal family and the raw and very real excitement from everyone has made me think…I can do this!" he captioned his post.

Moreover, the former member of Hellyeah highlighted how music, particularly heavy metal, helped him overcome hardships in life and hopes that the 30 Years of Madness Tour will also inspire and uplift his fans in the same way.

"Heavy metal saved my life and each and every one of you have done the same for me. We save each other because we lean on each other when things are as bad in life as they can be. You all have always been there for me and I want to be there for you. So let's get together this fall and once again…HAVE SOME F-G FUN! Hope to see you at a show near you sooner than later. So until then please stay safe, happy, healthy and METAL AS F-K! -The Madness," he wrote on Instagram.

Gray's 30 Years of Madness tour's solo show had its initial run this spring with shows in Las Vegas, Nevada in April and three shows in May across Flint, Michigan, East Moline, Illinois and Green Bay, Wisconsin.
