League of Legends MSI 2026 Details Revealed Including Teams, Format, and Schedule

Riot Games has revealed the full details for the 2026 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational (MSI). The international tournament will take place in Daejeon, South Korea, where the best teams from each major region will compete for the MSI title and valuable World Championship qualification benefits.

The event will feature returning fan-favorite features, including Pick'Ems, Drops, co-streaming, and exclusive in-game rewards. Riot Games also confirmed the qualified teams, tournament format, and schedule for the competition.

Qualified Teams for MSI 2026

Eleven teams have secured their spots at MSI 2026 across the world's major League of Legends regions.

The LCK will be represented by Hanwha Life Esports and T1. The LPL will send Bilibili Gaming and Top Esports.

From the LEC, G2 Esports and Karmine Corp have qualified for the tournament. The LCS representatives are LYON and Team Liquid Alienware.

The remaining teams include Team Secret Whales and Revolve Deep Cross Gaming from the LCP, along with FURIA from Brazil's CBLOL.

MSI 2026 Format Explained

MSI 2026 will largely follow the same format used during MSI 2025.

The Play-In Stage will run from June 28 to July 1 and feature a four-team double-elimination bracket. Only one team will advance to the main event.

The Bracket Stage will begin on July 3 and conclude with the Grand Final on July 12. Eight teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket to determine the MSI 2026 champion.

MSI 2026 Schedule

The Play-In Stage will take place from June 28 to July 1.

The Bracket Stage will run from July 3 to July 12.

Key matches include the Upper Final on July 9, the Lower Final on July 11, and the Grand Final on July 12.

MSI Pick'Ems and Crystal Ball Return

Riot Games confirmed that Pick'Ems powered by AWS will return for MSI 2026.

Players can predict tournament results through LoLEsports.com or the League of Legends client to earn exclusive rewards. Available prizes include emotes, icons, and Broken Covenant Jhin for players who achieve perfect predictions.

MSI Crystal Ball will also debut at the event. The feature allows fans to predict tournament trends, champion picks, player performances, and other outcomes before matches begin.

Participants who submit their predictions before June 28 can earn the exclusive "Doesn't Look Good" emote.

MSI Drops and Twitch Subscription Rewards

MSI Drops will return throughout the tournament for viewers watching live on LoLEsports.com while logged into a Riot account.

Available rewards include the new "Ducky!" and "No Running!" icons featuring Yunara and Renekton.

Riot Games also confirmed the return of Twitch subscription benefits for MSI broadcasts. Subscribers will receive perks such as custom emotes, badges, and ad-free viewing.

A portion of Twitch subscription revenue will contribute to the Global Revenue Pool, which supports leagues and teams across the LoL Esports ecosystem.

Broken Covenant Jhin Chosen as MSI 2026 Revenue-Share Skin

Broken Covenant Jhin has been selected as the official LoL Esports revenue-share skin for MSI 2026.

Fans can purchase the skin and related bundles during the event. Riot Games stated that a portion of proceeds will be shared with participating LoL Esports teams.

The publisher will also release special MSI Winner accessories after the tournament concludes. Players from the winning region will be able to purchase these items for one Blue Essence.

MSI Fan Festa and Co-Streaming Details

Riot Games is continuing its expanded co-streaming initiative for MSI 2026. More than 100 co-streamers are expected to participate through the Co-Streamer Hub powered by Opera GX.

All qualified teams will also be allowed to co-stream the tournament. The full list of remote co-streamers will be revealed on June 22.

Fans attending MSI in South Korea can also visit the MSI Fan Festa. The event will feature interactive experiences, creator appearances, cosplay activities, team booths, merchandise, and League of Legends-themed attractions throughout the tournament.

Additional information regarding co-streamers, merchandise availability, and event activities will be announced closer to MSI 2026.
