One Piece: Grand Gourmet Lets Fans Build the Ultimate Floating Restaurant With the Straw Hat Crew
The One Piece franchise has inspired fighting games, action adventures, RPGs, and mobile titles over the years, but its newest video game takes a very different direction. Rather than focusing on treasure hunting or battles across the Grand Line, One Piece: Grand Gourmet puts players in charge of a floating restaurant alongside the Straw Hat Pirates.
Announced during the June 2026 Nintendo Direct presentation, One Piece: Grand Gourmet is a restaurant management simulation developed by Kairosoft and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game is scheduled to launch on October 23, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS, and Android devices.
Food naturally plays a central role in the experience. Players will work with Sanji to prepare meals inspired by the series while experimenting with ingredients and recipe combinations. Official materials mention dishes such as Water-Water Meat BBQ and Sea King Penne Gorgonzola, alongside other creations connected to the world of One Piece.
More Than 400 One Piece Characters
Bandai Namco has confirmed that more than 400 characters from across the One Piece universe will appear as staff members, customers, or special visitors. All of them are represented through pixel art sprites, giving the game a distinct visual identity compared to previous One Piece adaptations. The developers also promise unique character events and interactions that cannot be found elsewhere.
Restaurant customization is another major feature. Players can decorate the floating restaurant using more than 200 furniture, building, and decorative items. These include designs inspired by locations from the series such as Whole Cake Island and Egghead. The appearance of the restaurant can even influence how certain characters react, with some becoming regular customers if they enjoy the atmosphere.
With its colorful pixel presentation, massive roster of characters, and focus on running a floating restaurant with Sanji and the Straw Hat Pirates, One Piece: Grand Gourmet offers a fresh interpretation of Eiichiro Oda's world. Whether longtime fans are interested in seeing hundreds of familiar faces or simply want to build the most successful restaurant on the seas, the game is set to bring a different flavor to One Piece gaming when it launches this October.
