Hello Kitty x SPAM Limited-Edition Collectible Cans Just Dropped - Here's What to Know
SPAM just got cuter! In an absolutely adorable collab with Sanrio, the beloved brand is bringing shoppers something seriously special… limited-edition SPAM x Hello Kitty collectible cans.
The new cans are part of SPAM's ‘Tour de Sizzle' campaign, celebrating food cultures from around the globe. Fans of the luncheon meat can visit the brand's ‘Tour de Sizzle' website here to follow Hello Kitty and SPAMMY as they travel from country to country.
If you're wondering, "Who is SPAMMY?", this colorful little fellow (or fellow-ette?) has nothing to do with the junk emails that always seem to overflow your inbox. SPAMMY is a cartoon creation with the head of a SPAM can. And yes, he's almost as lovable as Hello Kitty herself.
Don't assume that this new website is just for kids. Sure, your children or grandchildren will get a kick out of the interactive fun (fill a virtual passport with stickers, get access to SPAM postcards, drop pins on a "Where should Hello Kitty and SPAMMY go next?" map, and play music on an old school boombox). But you'll also enjoy the SPAM-filled fun.
Click on the postcards to get international SPAM recipes, including musubi, bibimbap, classic ramen, and poutine. Fans can also enter to win prizes such as a ‘Tour de Sizzle' bundle and limited-edition cans through June 23, 2026.
Stephanie Swift, brand manager for SPAM, said of the new Hello Kitty line, "This collaboration brings together two brands with incredibly passionate fan communities and a shared ability to spark joy across generations."
Swift continued, "Pairing Hello Kitty with the iconic SPAM brand can in such a playful and collectible way felt like a fun opportunity to create something fans would genuinely be excited to find on store shelves."
What do shoppers think of the limited-edition Hello Kitty collab?
When SPAM posted pics of the new cans on the brand's Instagram page, shoppers had plenty to say. One fan commented, "Neeeeed!" while others wrote, "More crossover cans means it's time to make more musubi" and "Collab of the century."
Where can you buy the collectible SPAM x Hello Kitty cans?
