Uriah Heep first announced their farewell tour back in 2024, noting that the run will take place over the "next two to three years."

"We intend to play as many places as possible and see you all for the one last time," Mick Box shared in a video. "On behalf of the band and myself, I wanna thank you all for the continued support you have always given us. It means the world to us, and it means so much to us, and I just wanna thank you for that."

Formed in 1969 in London, the band, whose original lineup included David Byron, Mick Box, Ken Hensley, Paul Newton and Alex Napier, had their first global success after releasing "Easy Livin'" in 1972.

From a single chart-topping track, Uriah Heep cemented their legendary status in the music industry by creating a signature sound rooted in melodic arena rock.

For years, the band kept its momentum going but eventually decided that it was time to bring its touring career to a close.

"Who can believe next year is 55 years since the band started, and that's just so amazing. I know many of you have been with us since the beginning, and we do thank you for that. It means the world to us," Box mentioned during the farewell tour announcement. "Unfortunately, we have made the decision to wind down touring the whole world next year under the title of 'Magician's Farewell'. In fact, The Magician's Farewell."

For the July and August lineup, Uriah Heep will participate in a series of summer festivals and outdoor shows, while October and November will be back-to-back events as the band takes on the European leg.
