Dave Grohl's Daughter Violet Grohl Premieres ‘Bug in the Cake' Music Video

Dave Grohl is famous for being the drummer in Nirvana and lead vocalist and guitarist in Foo Fighters, but his daughter, Violet Grohl, is also making waves in the music business.

On Friday, May 29, Violet debuted the music video for “Bug in the Cake,” a song off her debut album, “Be Sweet to Me.” The video depicts Violet spending time in a house while the owners of the home appear to be lounging in the swimming pool, vacuuming and doing other random housework. The video also sees Violet rocking out on guitar.

Violet’s “Be Sweet to Me” was officially released on Friday and also features the single “THUM.” The rock star daughter is already making the media rounds in support of the set and will perform on NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” on June 3.

Violet is also embarking on her first-ever solo tour, which kicked off Friday in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, her father, Dave, will also be on the road this year. He’ll kick off a North American stadium tour with Foo Fighters in August.

Whenever a rock star’s kid gets attention, it raises eyebrows because they obviously had an “in” when it comes to getting into the music business. But, listening to “Be Sweet to Me,” it’s apparent that Violet has real talent. Maybe it runs in the blood. Either way, don’t discount her just because of her last name.
