Exhibition of Queen Elizabeth II's Fashion Archives To Be Extended

The largest-ever exhibition of Queen Elizabeth II's fashion is set to be extended due to demand.

"Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style" features over 300 items from the late queen's personal archives that tell the story of her evolution from princess to Britain's longest-reigning monarch.

The exhibition is the most popular exhibition ever organized by the Royal Collection Trust.

The trust's director Tim Knox said, "The response has been unprecedented."

Instead of ending in October 2026, the exhibition will now run until April 2027.

The exhibition aims to showcase how involved the queen was when it came to the creation of her wardrobe and what she wanted it to convey.

Fashion sketches and correspondence between the queen and the couturiers she worked with are included as part of the exhibition, as are four key outfits that mirror the queen's developing identity in her role.

There are also baby dresses worn by the young Princess Elizabeth, her crystal and pearl encrusted wedding dress, and her coronation gown.
