Guy Fieri Transformed His Look With a Classy Make-Under for the Cannes Red Carpet

Guy Fieri transformed his trademark flashy style, proving that the Cannes Film Festival isn't all that far away from Flavortown.

The beloved chef, restaurateur, and host of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and Guy's Grocery Games made an unexpected appearance on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival this week at the Palais des Festivals. Appearing at a photo call for Paper Tiger, the new James Gray film starring Scarlett Johansson, Miles Teller, and Adam Driver, Fieri presented a toned-down look in comparison to his typical fashion choices. While he maintained his classic spikey platinum hair, Fieri wore a black suit and bowtie to walk the red carpet. Of course, he kept a little bit of his classic style, thanks to the silver chain bracelets and cigar in his hand. As Fieri would say, "Holy moly, Stromboli!"

Fieri's Controversy Regarding The Tate Brothers

Last month, Fieri was in the doghouse when he was spotted giving popular "manosphere" influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate friendly greetings at a recent UFC fight. A video clip showed Fieri interacting with Andrew, shaking his hand and bumping shoulders. Both brothers are currently under criminal investigation in multiple countries. The New York Times reported last year that in Romania, prosecutors have accused the brothers of trafficking more than 30 women, including a 17-year-old, into their pornography operation. Andrew Tate has also been accused of rape and of having sex with and beating a minor. Naturally, social media went wild when Fieri was pictured being sociable with the duo.

Fieri Responded on Social Media

Fieri took to social media to respond to the controversy, speaking out in a post on X.

"I'm seeing all of your comments about the photo from Saturday's UFC event and all I can say is that I'm devastated. I was there to see the fights and when I was walking through the venue, the Tate brothers stood up and said hello and that's when the exchanged happened. I did not know them or about them before that moment," he wrote, adding, "I'll never pretend to be a perfect person but let me be crystal clear, I do not know the Tate brothers nor do I support them in any way."
