‘I Dream of Jeannie' Star Barbara Eden, 94, Works Jeans and Heels Next to R2D2 on Star Wars Day
Barbara Eden is looking like an absolute legend in her nineties.
The I Dream of Jeannie star, 94, who broke boundaries in the fantasy sitcom series, took to Instagram to share a sweet photo of herself alongside the legendary robot R2D2 in honor of Star Wars Day, which is celebrated annually on May 4. The informal commemorative day allows fans of the George Lucas-created film series to share messages of "May the fourth be with you" with each other, a play on the phrase "May the force be with you" from Star Wars.
"This is a perfect pic for today! R2 is probably my favorite droid of all! I hope everyone has a wonderful day today! May the 4th be with you!- Barbara #maythe4thbewithyou#r2d2#starwarsday," Eden captioned her photo, which showed the TV legend looking happy and healthy in a red sweater, jeans, and black heels. To still wear heels at 94 is pretty impressive!
Who is Barbara Eden's Husband?
Eden is married to Jon Eicholtz. To celebrate the Easter holiday, she shared a sweet photo alongside her husband, showing the duo wearing adorable bunny ears.
"Happy Easter from us bunnies! We hope it's been beautiful and full of joy! -B & J #happyeaster#easter#easterbunny#barbaraeden," Eden captioned the photo, which showed the blonde beauty in blue bunny ears and a red jacket with her hands placed on her husband's shoulders. Smiling brightly, the TV icon has barely aged a day since her time on the beloved series, which ran from 1965 to 1970.
What Has Eden Said About Losing Her Close Friend, Loni Anderson?
Friendship is essential as we age, and Eden spoke out last year about how difficult it is to navigate life after the loss of her dear friend, Loni Anderson.
"I feel very lonely now that she's not here," Eden recently told Fox News Digital. "I miss her – I really miss her. I miss everything about Loni. She was just a very special, kind, sweet, good mother. You can't say anything bad about her."
Eden reflected on the first time she met Anderson, back in 1981. The duo was filming a Bob Hope special alongside legendary Dynasty star Linda Evans.
