‘Blue Lagoon' Star Christopher Atkins, 65, Has a Laugh After Getting an Empty Amazon Package
The Blue Lagoon star Christopher Atkins is wondering where the rest of his Amazon package is.
The former teen heartthrob, 65, starred alongside Brooke Shields in the iconic movie about two teens who were marooned on a tropical island as children, and then grew up and fell in love. In later years, Atkins appeared on the legendary TV show Dallas. While his curls have fallen by the wayside over the years, Atkins is still as blonde as ever. These days, the actor is having a laugh after he received an Amazon package that contained absolutely nothing inside. Holding up the empty envelope, Atkins wondered where the rest of his package had gone.
Celebrating His 65th Birthday
For his recent 65th birthday, Atkins used that trademark sense of humor. While his head full of blond curls may be gone forever, his rugged good looks are still going strong. In a funny video, the actor pretended to lift a car over his head.
"Thank you all for the many wonderful birthday wishes from all over the world! I'm officially way over the hill but I still got it!" Atkins captioned the video.
What Does Atkins Say About Working With Brooke Shields?
A couple of years back, Atkins joined Shields on her Now What? podcast and talked about how a movie like Blue Lagoon, which had extensive nudity, "wouldn't be allowed" to be made these days.
"You were right next to me, and that was even stranger because you were only 14 at the time," Atkins said, Entertainment Weekly reported. "There were scenes that I was butt-naked with you, if you remember, sliding down that slide and things like that. And that was a little awkward, but it was kind of funny for me because, at this point, I just did it. But your reaction was, ‘Ugh, oh God.'"
"I was like, ‘Oh God, why do I have to look at this?'" Shields recalled. "‘I've never seen one of those before, and I'm not going to start now!'"
