King's Hawaiian Debuts Dream-Worthy New Collab with Van Leeuwen That Fans Are 'Begging' Arrives in Stores
There's a reason King's Hawaiian remains one of the best-selling dinner rolls in local supermarkets across the nation.
Providing the perfect balance between its moist, spongy texture and a slightly sweeter flavor profile, King's Hawaiian has long been a favorite choice for hungry shoppers interest in the perfect roll to accompany their meal.
Fortunately, the iconic brand has also periodically released some standout products that provide consumers an altogether sweeter alternative. Such is the case with the company's newest collaboration with Van Leeuwen, a major first for the beloved bread brand.
Coinciding with the launch of their new Ube Coconut Sweet Rolls, King's Hawaiian is rolling out a new supersized collaboration with Van Leeuwen Ice Cream. As part of the new partnership, the two brands will be introducing a new Ube Coconut Ice Cream Sandwich, "bringing together bold, island-inspired flavors in an entirely new way," according to a recent press release from King's Hawaiian.
"At the center of the collaboration is a custom ice cream flavor developed by Van Leeuwen," the company said of the unexpected new product. "Sandwiched between King's Hawaiian's newly released signature soft, fluffy Ube Coconut Sweet Rolls, the brand-new creation delivers a vibrant, multi-sensory experience that's as visually striking as it is irresistible."
The return of King's Hawaiian's Ube Coconut Sweet Rolls comes nearly a year after the product first arrived in limited quantities back in June 2025. Given the instant popularity of the brand-new dinner rolls, King's Hawaiian ultimately brought the rolls back, complete with its exciting new dessert option via their partnership with Van Leeuwen.
King's Hawaiian and Van Leeuwen's limited-edition ice cream sandwich will be available at select Van Leeuwen scoop shops in New York, Los Angeles and Boston while supplies last. With that in mind, anyone with an avid sweet tooth should think about visiting their local scoop shops before the dessert officially disappears!
