Jesse Solomon Hints ‘Summer House' Future Is ‘Up in the Air' Amid Drama
Jesse Solomon's future on Summer House is still up in the air - at least, according to him.
"I would say, eventually, I want to build a sustainable music career, whatever that looks like," Jesse, 32, said during the Thursday, April 23, episode of the "Not Married to This" podcast. "Right now, I'm enjoying going to The Hamptons with my friends, and it's all rowing the boat in the same direction. Like, one thing helps the other."
Jesse explained that he doesn't want the Kyle Cooke trajectory on Summer House.
"This summer, I'm assuming we're going to film," he continued, alluding to the drama surrounding costars West Wilson and Amanda Batula. "That's my focus."
Podcast host Joe Amabile wondered whether the Summer House cast is "splitting" up because of Bravo's upcoming show In the City, which features Kyle, Amanda and Lindsay Hubbard.
"I think everything's kind of up in the air right now. I don't think even the producers know what's going to happen," Jesse said. "They're just trying to get through the reunion and see what's what."
Jesse said things have been a "roller-coaster" as of late before giving some insight into the In the City premiere - and what it means for the future of Summer House.
"I think the plan was that the people who filmed In the City would transition to that show, but now, I don't know if anybody knows," he added. "I'm assuming we'll see some familiar faces back in The Hamptons, but my job is just to be myself."
The Summer House cast is on edge waiting to film the season 10 reunion after West and Amanda confirmed that their friendship had turned romantic.
"We've shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what's developed recently was the last thing either of us expected," they wrote in an Instagram statement on March 31. "Our connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care."
Both Amanda and West have said that they're looking to offer some clarification into their relationship at the reunion - which is filming on Thursday. However, the Summer House cast is not convinced they'll get the whole story.
"The cast is more than ready for the reunion to be over at this point, and the general vibe is a mix of frustration and curiosity," a source told Us Weekly exclusively. "The common consensus is that they're not convinced they will get the full truth from Amanda and West, no matter how many times the questions are asked."
As for the show's next chapter, an insider told Us "producers are exploring new options" after season 10, with discussions "about a different location, making it a spinoff show and possibly a new cast."
