This New Trader Joe's Find Has Everyone Saying the Same Thing
Trader Joe's just debuted a new item that has customers swooning. The Parmesan Tapenade recently started popping up on store shelves, and it is quickly building a significant fan base.
The new Parmesan Tapenade takes the basic concept of an olive tapenade and elevates it with the addition of Parmesan cheese and a few other tweaks. The result is a home run that has customers racing back for more.
In the Trader Joe's subreddit, one customer initiated a thread on the Parmesan Tapenade. "It is GOOD," the Reddit user wrote. That person described it as "Slightly spicy, garlicky, and the cheese is so tasty." They noted that they ate it with sea salt pita chips.
The photo of the new tapenade indicates that it includes Parmesan cheese, oil, olives, jalapenos, garlic, and herbs. The ingredient list indicates the mix specifically includes Manzanilla olives along with red wine vinegar, cilantro, sea salt, thyme, oregano, sunflower oil, and olive oil.
The original poster wasn't the only one who had already tried the Parmesan Tapenade and found it delightful. Everybody who has tried it seems to be thoroughly hooked.
"Grabbed today, opened it while making dinner. It's so good! Ready to buy another tub or make my own," one fan shared.
When one Reddit user asked how "cilantro-y" it tastes, someone noted they hadn't even realized there was cilantro in it when they ate it.
Someone else questioned how "olive-y" it tastes. The response was that it didn't have a very strong olive taste, as the "cheese and garlic are the flavor forward ingredients." In addition, that person noted, it's "Not super spicy, but definitely [has] a little kick."
"WHY must this place torture me so much," questioned someone else.
An additional commenter noted that the Parmesan Tapenade "tastes good warmed up too." Several pizza-related suggestions popped up in the thread, and someone else suggested it would "slap with some steamed or boiled artichoke."
The Trader Joe's Parmesan Tapenade is also starting to hit Instagram as customers discover it. As was the case on Reddit, the consensus from those who have tried it seems to be that it's delicious. Many who are just learning about it now seem quite eager to get their hands on it.
The containers of Parmesan Tapenade contain 8 ounces and are priced at $4.99. One person noted that in their store, it was located near all of the cheeses.
