'Storage Wars' Star Darrell Sheets' Cause of Death: What We Know So Far
DarrellSheets, famed for his time on Storage Wars, has died at the age of 67.
According to Lake Havasu Police, the beloved reality star died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head on Wednesday, April 22, per TMZ.
Officers reportedly responded to a call at his home around 2 a.m. on Wednesday, the outlet reported. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sheets rose to fame as a fan-favorite on the long-running A&E series, which premiered in 2010. A staple of the first 15 seasons, Sheets appeared alongside his son, BrandonSheets, as well as DaveHester, JarrodSchulz, and BrandiPassante, to name a few.
Upon retiring, Sheets relocated from Southern California to Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where he continued collecting antiques and memorabilia.
Sheets suffered a "mild" heart attack in 2019 and was forced to undergo surgery. He told TMZ at the time that he had been sick for months before the heart attack and was also battling "congestive heart failure and a severe issue with his lungs."
