‘Diff'rent Strokes' Star Todd Bridges Reflects on How the 'Little House on the Prairie' Cast Treated Him
Todd Bridges may be best known for his role on the iconic TV series Diff'rent Strokes, but the actor is reflecting on the experience he had guest-starring on Little House on the Prairie.
Bridges, 60, rose to stardom as a child actor in the role of Willis alongside Gary Coleman and Dana Plato on Strokes, the beloved sitcom that followed two boys who were taken in by a wealthy man in New York City. But before he appeared on that show, he had an important role on a 1977 episode of Little House on the Prairie as Solomon Henry. Titled "The Wisdom of Solomon," the episode featured Bridges as a young boy who finds himself in Walnut Grove seeking an education. The poignant episode resonated with viewers for years to come.
In a new video posted to the Little House on the Prairie Instagram page, Bridges spoke out about his positive experience filming on the series and how welcoming the cast was at a time when he was unsure of himself.
"My favorite thing on Little House when I did 'The Wisdom of Solomon' was meeting the cast. I was very nervous. I didn't know what they were going to be like, and they ended up being very warm, very friendly, and it was like I was a part of their family, and I really enjoyed that," Bridges shared while attending a fan event. "That's Solomon Henry out."
When Does the New Little House on the Prairie Premiere?
The Little House on the Prairie reboot premieres on Netflix on July 9, 2026. The show stars Elvis actor Luke Bracey as Charles "Pa" Ingalls, Alice Halsey as Laura, and Skywalker Hughes as Mary.
