Full List of Celebrities Running the Boston Marathon 2026
Major celebrities will be among the tens of thousands of runners taking part in the Boston Marathon.
Where Does The Boston Marathon Start and At What Time?
On Monday, April 20, an estimated 30,000 marathon runners will race more than 26 miles, from Hopkinton to Boylston Street, in celebration of Patriots’ Day and to mark the 130th Boston Marathon.
Because of the sheer number of people taking part in the race, start times are staggered.
Wave 1 will start at 10:00 a.m., Wave 2 at 10:15 a.m., Wave 3 at 10:28 a.m., Wave 4 at 10:41 a.m., Wave 5 at 11:01 a.m., and Wave 6 at 11:21 a.m., according to the Boston Athletic Association.
Celebrities Running the Boston Marathon 2026
As reported by CBS, these are the celebrities who have so far announced that they will be taking part in the iconic marathon.
- Amby Burfoot – Former Runner’s World editor-in-chief and winner of the 1968 Boston Marathon, now competing again at the age of 79.
- Bryan Arenales – Reality star who won Season 7 of Love Island, and is competing in the Boston Marathon for the first time.
- Chelsea Clinton – Daughter of Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton, who has competed multiple times in the New York Marathon.
- Chris Herren – Former Boston Celtics star and motivational speaker.
- Des Linden – Former professional sportswoman who, in 2018, became the first American woman to win the Boston Marathon in more than three decades.
- Jeff DaRosa – Dropkick Murphys musician who is running in support of the band’s Claddagh Found, supporting veterans, children and addiction recovery.
- Kristine Lilly – Former U.S. Women’s National Team soccer player and two-time World Cup champion, running to raise money for the Mia Hamm Foundation, which raises funds for families in need of cord blood or bone marrow transplants.
- Laura Green – Comedian, runner and online influencer known for her videos chronicling her training for the marathon in less-than-ideal weather.
- Suni Williams – Astronaut wo last returned to Earth in March 2025, and previously completed the Falmouth Road Race while in space in 2024. She will run the marathon as the recipient of the 2026 Patriots’ Award.
- Zdeno Chara – Hockey Hall of Famer and Boston Bruins star, who has previously taken part in the Boston and London Marathons.

Viewers can enter a participant’s name to see their route so far.
