This Fan-Favorite Actor Just Joined 'Dexter: Resurrection' as a Chilling New Villain
A terrifying new villain is headed to Dexter: Resurrection and he's bringing chaos with him.
Dan Stevens has officially joined the hit series for its second season in a series regular role, taking on the part of the ominous "Five Borough Killer." The character is described as a Zodiac-style murderer who taunts police with chilling phone calls, threatening the lives of innocent people-and then following through, leaving a city in fear.
The casting marks a major addition to the show's expanding lineup of high-profile stars. It was recently announced that Brian Cox will appear as the "New York Ripper," a serial killer who terrorized the city years earlier, while Uma Thurman is set to reprise her role as Charley, the former Special Ops officer who fled New York last season.
At the center of it all is Michael C. Hall, who returns as Dexter Morgan in the continuation of the long-running franchise. The series comes from Emmy-nominated showrunner Clyde Phillips and continues to build on the dark, psychological storytelling that made Dexter a fan favorite.
Season 1 of Dexter: Resurrection is currently available to stream on Paramount+, with the upcoming season expected to raise the stakes even higher as multiple killers collide.
Stevens, known for roles in Beauty and the Beast, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, and the indie thriller Cuckoo, continues to expand his range with darker material. He's also set to lead the upcoming horror anthology series The Terror: Devil in Silver and will reunite with director Adam Wingard for the film Onslaught.
With multiple serial killers entering the picture, Season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection is shaping up to be one of the series' most intense chapters yet.
