Fan sees dream come true at Maná’s concert in Fresno. The concert was sold out
Blanca Cedeño considers herself a die-hard fan of the Mexican rock band Maná.
Her 10-year-old daughter is named Fernanda in honor of the lead vocalist and main songwriter of the group, Fher Olvera.
She has been a fan for decades, dating back to Maná’s early days under the name Sombrero Verde.
At 50 years old, Cedeño has attended six concerts, spanning from Las Vegas to Monterey, during Maná’s ‘México Lindo y Querido’ tour across Mexico and the United States, all with the hope of sharing the stage with her idols.
Fresno made her dream come true on Friday night.

“Today was a special day for me,” said Cedeño. “When I went up, I felt a lot of excitement.”
For a moment, Cedeño thought Maná wouldn’t pick anyone from the audience until she noticed that Fher saw the shirt she was wearing, which was very similar to the one he had on during the concert – a black shirt with a shiny skull in the center.
“And suddenly they say ‘you.’ My heart truly felt like it was going to burst,” said Cedeño.
Cedeño traveled from Mexico City on Friday morning to Los Angeles and then drove four hours to Fresno for Maná’s performance at the Save Mart Center.

“I arrived fully charged,” said Cedeño, adding that she will also attend the Bésame Mucho Festival in Los Angeles over the weekend to see Maná again.
Maná concluded their ‘México Lindo y Querido’ tour in Fresno with a sold-out show where over 12,000 people passionately sang along to the beloved band’s hits. As their drummer, Alex González, expressed, “Let it be heard all the way to Guadalajara.”
Among their hits were songs like ‘Labios Compartidos,’ ‘Mariposa Traicionera,’ ‘Te Lloré un Río,’ ‘Huele a Tristeza,’ ‘Me Vale,’ and, of course, ‘Rayando el Sol,’ the song with which they closed the concert.

From the iconic sounds of Fher Olvera’s harmonica to the massive inflatable turtle descending from the ceiling to the stage, highlighting Maná’s environmental work with their Selva Negra Ecological Foundation, to a hot pink bra thrown onto the stage – these were just a few moments from the concert.
And, of course, there couldn’t be a Maná performance without González’s drum solo that continues to captivate audiences of all ages.
Maná, who hasn’t lost their style, conveyed their vibe and energy to fans ranging in age from 6 to 60, demonstrating that their music has transcended generations.

Dora Osorio, 60, got to see Maná live for the first time in Fresno, accompanied by her daughter, Alisol Osorio.
“I’m 21, and my mom has been a fan for as long as I can remember, that’s why I became a fan,” said Alisol Osorio. “I just love them.”
“They are very true to themselves, never shy away from being Mexican,” said Alisol Osorio.
Maná performed Saturday (December 2nd), as one of the headline artists at the Bésame Mucho Festival at Dodger Stadium, featuring artists like Los Bukis, Gloria Trevi, Alejandro Fernández, Pepe Aguilar, Natalia Lafourcade, Reik, Camila, and Belinda, among others.
