Sports: Fresno Grizzlies Extravaganza

The Grizzlies are playing and there will also be a hot dog eating contest and for one night only, the chorizo macaroni and cheese hot dog, along with a fireworks show. Chukchansi Park, 1800 Tulare St., Fresno, $9-$39. 7:05 p.m.

Community: Loggers Jamboree

The 56th annual Mid-Sierra Loggers Jamboree pays tribute to the loggers of past and those keeping up the tradition today. In addition to competition events, there will be local food vendors and crafts available for purchase. The event continues tomorrow. Sports: U.S. Independence Day Boxing Championship

Event: Tioga-Sequoia Party

If you want to spend the day relaxing with a locally crafted beer, head out to downtown Fresno for this party. A bonus: you will be able to catch the fireworks show after the Grizzlies game. Tioga-Sequoia Brewing Company, 745 Fulton St., Fresno, (559) 486-2337. 1 p.m.-11 p.m.
