Immersive Van Gogh experience coming to Fresno. Be the first to find out where and when

Those interested in the immersive art trend (think Sensorio in Paso Robles or the indoor AREA15 in Las Vegas) should take note: Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience is coming to Fresno on a limited engagement.

Paquin Entertainment Group, working with the Canadian company Normal Studio, made the announcement, as such as it was, on Wednesday.

We know the immersive experience will feature more than 300 of Vincent Van Gogh’s most iconic pieces of artwork (“The Starry Night,” “Sunflowers”) set into 3-D, and that Fresno is one of 20 cities that will get the exhibit in 2022 (Sacramento is another).

Beyond Van Gogh has already been in about 20 North American cities.

What we don’t know is when or where the exhibit will take place.

The venue, on-sale and opening date are still to be announced, according to the show’s producers, who are pointing people toward www.vangoghfresno.com for information and first access to pre-sale tickets.

This is actually one of several traveling exhibitions to feature work from the Dutch Post-Impressionist painter. There is also a ”Van Gogh: Immersive Experience,” “Immersive Van Gogh Exhibition” and “Imagine Van Gogh Exhibition.” At least one, the “Immersive Van Gogh Kansas City” exhibit, sold more than 100,000 tickets only to later announce a two-month delay after it had trouble finding “a suitable venue.”

“Beyond Van Gogh” has already been in San Jose and Portland and is opening in Reno in August.

Tickets for that exhibit start at $36.99 for weekdays.
