The Big Fresno Fair opened its 12-day run Wednesday with a bit of rain but a lot of smiles from the children who got there early.
One of the highlights: the new Let’s Play area that features giant versions of classic games like Battleship, Scrabble, Connect Four and Simon. There are also large-scale checkers and chess boards as well as some interactive virtual reality games.
Another fair staple starts Thursday, the first of a nine-day horse racing meet.
