This popular country music star’s girlfriend is from Clovis

Jon Pardi, one of country music’s rising stars, has a local connection you may not have known about. It’s his girlfriend, Summer Duncan.

Duncan was at Pardi’s side on Wednesday night in Nashville when he won the Country Music Award’s New Artist of the Year honor for 2017.

Pardi has taken the country world by storm over the last two years with multiple hits including “Dirt on My Boots,” “She Ain’t In It,” “Head Over Boots” and “Heartache On The Dance Floor.”

The lanky country star has been dating Duncan for at least several months, according to her Instagram posts. The two have been photographed in Nashville, San Francisco and Texas.

She’s also been lucky enough to hang out with country music royalty like Garth Brooks.

Perhaps it’s no surprise that the couple are together. Pardi was raised up the road in the Northern California community of Dixon, southwest of Sacramento. His mother, Shelly Harrington, still lives in the area and is rightfully proud of her son and his girlfriend.

Duncan is a hairdresser and was the owner of Tangled, a salon and spa in Fresno that operated for several years. She’s also the daughter of Larry and Sharon Duncan of Clovis. Larry Duncan is the chief executive officer and chairman of Duncan Enterprises.

Pardi will play in Fresno on Feb. 9 at the Save Mart Center as part of the Miranda Lambert Livin’ like Hippies Tour.
