Was that Fresno Mayor Lee Brand in a national commercial?
A commercial for the new ABC comedy The Mayor features a familiar Fresno face. It’s Mayor Lee Brand.
In the commercial, the show’s leading actor, Brandon Michael Hall, who plays Courtney Rose, is shown sitting on his desk, one the phone, asking different mayors their advice about using giant scissors for ribbon-cutting events. Hall’s character goes from wannabe rapper to mayor of his small city.
During his spot, Brand appears to be answering a call from the fictitious mayor, saying “Courtney, what’s up?” He then tells Hall that he still has all of his five fingers, alluding to danger of using giant scissors.
