Tyler, The Creator recently released a new album and he’s going to tour in Fresno

Tyler, The Creator – a hip hop rapper, producer and comedian who’s extremely popular among younger millennials and the Generation Z crowd – has included Fresno as part of his 18-stop tour that begins this fall.

Tyler, The Creator, whose real name is Tyler Okonma, is scheduled to come to Fresno on Nov. 1 for a performance at the Rainbow Ballroom located downtown (1725 Broadway St).

He tweeted to his 4 million-plus followers that ticket sales start Friday.

But according to ticketweb.com, pre-sale ticket purchases begins online at 10 a.m. Thursday. It also can be purchased on the Golf Media app.

Just last month, Tyler, The Creator released his latest album “Flower Boy,” which debuted at No. 2 that week on the Billboard 200 chart. It’s currently at No. 26 on the charts.

In addition to music, Tyler, The Creator has his own docu-series called “Nuts & Bolts,” which premiered on the cable channel Viceland earlier this month.

He previously was on the show “Loiter Squad,” which aired on the Adult Swim network.

Tyler, The Creator also has made guest appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the Late Show with David Letterman and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Tyler, The Creator electrified the Rainbow Ballroom the last time he performed in Fresno, back in April of 2016.

While some shows (Justin Bieber for example) are all about the on-stage spectacle, a Tyler the Creator show seems to be as much about what’s happening out in the crowd. The audience is the show. This is about getting swept in the crush of the crowd against the barricade and still bouncing around until you feel like you’re going to vomit or die and then getting pulled to safety by security (like the girl in front of me) and still having the energy to rap along to every. single. word. of every song.
