Fresno Fuego’s Renato Bustamante named to PDL All-Conference team
Fresno Fuego FC forward/midfielder Renato Bustamante was named to the Premier Development League’s All-Western Conference team, the league announced Monday.
The 25-year-old Fresno Pacific graduate led Fuego in scoring (seven goals) and assists (four) for a total of 18 points in 13 matches.
Bustamante, originally of Peru but moved to Chicago with his family at 7 years old, helped the Fuego to a 6-5-4 record for a third-place finish in the Pacific Southwest division this season.
He was the only player from the six-team division to earn one of 11 spots on the All-Western Conference squad.
