The question regarding Vista Murrieta’s Michael Norman isn’t about being favored to repeat a 200/400 sweep this weekend at the CIF State Track and Field Championships at Buchanan’s Veterans Memorial Stadium – it’s if he’ll make Team USA for the Olympic Games in August in Rio de Janeiro.
Grant Gambrell, one of the nation’s top high school baseball players, leads Buchanan into the Central Section Division I final against Clovis North on Tuesday night at Visalia’s Rawhide Ballpark. Six division titles in all will be decided Monday and Tuesday at the minor league stadium.

Game video shows that Central's football team, in the final stages of it's 21-20 upset victory over top-ranked Clovis, had 13 defensive players on the field for five straight plays and 12 for a sixth on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2015. Clovis missed a field goal on the drive, then Central's offense ran out the clock.
