Wyndham Clark's Girlfriend Reacts to His Big U.S. Open Performance
Emily Tanner has been impressed by her boyfriend's performance at the 2026 U.S. Open at Shinnecock.
Wyndham Clark, who won the 2023 U.S. Open, is six strokes up on the field at the 2026 U.S. Open. He's looking to hold off Scottie Scheffler and the rest of those in contention in the final round of the third major of the year, which is being held at Shinnecock on Long Island in New York.
But while Clark is playing well, he's been disappointed by the lack of fan support on Long Island. There was a pretty sparse crowd as he finished up his round on Saturday.
"Yeah, it was kind of unfortunate that we're finishing in the dark and people weren't really out there because there were some obviously key, big moments, and it did kind of get a little flat, so yeah, unfortunately," Clark said on Saturday.
He added: "Hopefully tomorrow there's a bunch of fans and stuff, but for me, it's still really important, and I still felt the moment. It's just maybe unfortunate that there weren't all the people there."
One fan guaranteed to be supporting Clark on Sunday is his girlfriend, model Emily Tanner.
Tanner shows support for Clark during final round
Tanner has been loving her boyfriend's performance during his final round on Sunday afternoon.
"Proud x100000," she wrote on her Instagram Story prior to Sunday's final round, which airs on NBC.
Clark and Tanner have been dating for a couple of months, going public at The Masters earlier this year.
Clearly, it seems to be helping his game.
