Angel Reese Caught Mocking Caitlin Clark Before Dream-Fever Rematch

Whether fans like it or not, Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark's rivalry is impossible to ignore.

The Atlanta Dream made quite the statement on Thursday night by picking up a 108-101 win over the Indiana Fever on the road. Despite being in foul trouble early in the game, Reese led the charge with 21 points and 11 rebounds.

"Someone she respects needs to tell her she is not as good as she thinks she is."We kind of talked a little bit at halftime about not getting comfortable," Reese said. "I think we kind of stayed together and continued to push. We knew they were going to go on a run, especially with their crowd. When their crowd gets into it, I think they feel that energy, and they did a great job with that."

While there's no question Reese raised her level of play on Thursday night, WNBA fans had an issue with her behavior on the court.

After Reese was called for a foul on Clark, she made a gesture to the refs that suggested her opponent was flopping. Unsurprisingly, that brief moment didn't go unnoticed.

"That's not going to go well for Angel," one fan said. "She'll be embarrassed. She has no self reflection. Can't wait to see her be fooled soon!"

"And she wonders why she gets so much hate," a second fan wrote.

"She is so hungry for attention is sad to see," another fan commented.

This rivalry originated in 2023.

During the 2023 NCAA national championship game between LSU and Iowa, ESPN's camera crew caught Reese taunting Clark with the "you can't see me" gesture. That was just the start of their feud.

In 2024, Clark got her revenge by dropping 41 points in an Elite Eight win over Reese and the LSU women's basketball team.

"I don't think people realize it's not personal," Reese said in March 2024. "Once we get out between those lines, if I see you walking down the street, it's like, 'Hey, girl, what's up? Let's hang out.' I think people just take it like we hate each other. Me and Caitlin Clark don't hate each other. I want everybody to understand that. It's just a super-competitive game. Once I get between those lines, there's no friends. I'm going to talk trash to you. I'm going to do whatever it takes to get in your head the whole entire game, but after the game, we can kick it. I don't think people really realize that. That's fine. I'll take the villain role. I'll take the hit for it, but I know we're growing women's basketball. If this is the way we're going to do it, then this is the way we're going to do it. You either like it or you don't."

This rivalry will add a new chapter this Saturday when the Dream host the Fever at 1 p.m.
