Baseball: Cardinal Newman grad named All-American, earns invite to Team USA's college training camp

The accolades and honors have been rolling in for Tanner Bradley, a former prep baseball star at Cardinal Newman, after his spectacular sophomore season at the University of Oregon.

On Monday, Bradley, a right-handed relief pitcher, earned an invitation to the USA Baseball collegiate national team training camp, where he will compete for one of 28 spots on the U.S. Collegiate National Team.

The honor came on the heels of Bradley being named an All-American by multiple outlets over the last week.

Bradley was one of the top relievers in the country this spring and was named a finalist for the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association's "Stopper of the Year" award, given to the top relief pitcher in NCAA Division I.

He was named a first-team All-American by NCBWA, a second-team All-American by Baseball American and a third-team All-American by Perfect Game. The three All-American honors are tied for fifth in program history for one player in a single season.

Bradley, who was also a Big Ten first-team selection, went 5-1 on the year with a 1.66 earned run average in 54 1/3 innings over 31 appearances. He posted a WHIP of 0.82 and held opposing hitters to a .137 average while striking out 84 batters and walking just 12.

Bradley had a decorated prep career at Cardinal Newman, helping the Cardinals win three consecutive North Coast Section titles in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
