Colin Cowherd Predicting Big Win Total Increase For Shedeur Sanders-Led Browns

Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders has apparently earned the national media's respect this offseason.

Sanders started seven games for the Browns as a rookie, completing 56.6% of his passes for 1,400 yards with seven touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Although he has not yet proved he's a franchise quarterback, it sounds like he'll be given the chance to showcase his skills this fall.

During an appearance on 92.3 The Fan last week, Browns general manager Andrew Berry raved about Sanders' development this offseason.

"We're all very excited to see Shedeur's fall camp, preseason, things of that nature when we get into padded situations, live situations, less scripted," Berry said. "But his growth has truly been phenomenal."

While the Browns have not yet named a starter for the 2026 season, Fox Sports personality Colin Cowherd believes Sanders could lead the team to as many as eight wins.

"I think you can win games with Shedeur," Cowherd said. "... I think they're going to win games this year. Not two or three. Six, seven, or eight. I really believe that."

This seems like a fairly strong take from Cowherd, especially since the Browns traded away All-Pro pass rusher Myles Garrett.

Vegas isn't that high on the Browns.

The current win total for the Browns is set at 6.5, according to BetMGM. They're projected to finish last in the AFC North.

If the Browns are going to shock people this NFL season, Todd Monken will need turnover-free football from his starting quarterback.

The Browns will kick off their 2026 campaign on Sept. 13 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
