President Trump Reacts To The Knicks Winning The NBA Finals

The New York Knicks are officially NBA champions.

New York topped San Antonio in five games. The Knicks bested the Spurs in Game 5 in San Antonio, rallying from another second half deficit, to take down Victor Wembanyama and Co.

Jalen Brunson was rightfully named NBA Finals MVP. He had an electric series and a massive Game 5, scoring more than 40 points in the series-clinching victory on Saturday evening.

"It's everything we ever dreamed of," Brunson said after accepting the Bill Russell Trophy, given to the NBA Finals MVP.

"It's why I came to New York."

Brunson's Knicks teammates could not be more impressed by him.

"Resilient, mentally tough ... no matter if we're down, [he stays] in attack mode and plays to the end," OG Anunoby said postgame.

"He's an amazing player and it showed. [He] showed the world tonight."

President Trump, who attended Game 3 in New York, reacted to the big win on Saturday night

President Trump released a statement on his social media platform, Truth Social, late on Saturday night.

"Congratulations to Jim Dolan and the New York Knicks!!!" he wrote on his social media platform.

"What a year it has been but, even more so, what incredible playoff wins we have all witnessed, especially the last four - Maybe the greatest in the history of basketball. Also, tonight, a superstar was born. His name is Jalen Brunson, and there are others, including, Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby, and great Patriot, Mitchell Robinson! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! President DONALD J. TRUMP."

Now, the question will be, will the New York Knicks visit the White House to celebrate their championship?
