LeBron's Agent Faces Backlash For Comparison To Muhammad Ali

LeBron James' agent made quite the comparison to Muhammad Ali, one of the greatest and most influential athletes of all-time, during a podcast appearance.

Rich Paul, the longtime agent of the four-time NBA champion, is trending for comparing his client to the legendary heavyweight boxing champion.

"I always looked at LeBron as more of what I would call the people's champion, like Muhammad Ali. Even when he lost, I feel like people really embraced him," Rich Paul told his co-host, Max Kellerman.

LeBron is certainly among the greatest athletes of all-time. However, many in the sports world aren't thrilled with the comparison.

Fans take issue with LeBron being compared to Ali

Paul is facing some backlash for the comparison.

"LeBron has done a lot of great things for people and his community off the floor but he has NO business being compared to Muhammad Ali when you look at what Ali sacrificed for his morals and principles," Chris Williamson shared.

"We're not comparing any athlete to Ali who sacrificed prime years to stand up for his beliefs and morals. Give it a rest," another shared.

"Nah this is egregious. Take the podcast away from him please. Comparing LeBron James to Muhammad Ali someone who took an actual stand which cost him years and money … wallahi I can't stand Rich Paul," one added.

"We have progressed past the need for Rich Paul interviews," one added.

"Can someone please explain to me why LeBron James' agent has this podcast?" another shared.

"This is the delusion of an average Bron stan. They'll tell you he's the most hated while also trying to tell you he's the most loved. Whatever fits their current agenda," another shared.

"I'm not a LeBron fan. But at what point does he realize his agent having a podcast and saying things like this is doing more harm than good?" one shared.

LeBron is great, but he's not touching Ali in some categories.
