Peninsula boys tennis doubles team Eddie Feuer and Colin Bringas win CIF-SS championship

The Peninsula boys tennis duo of Eddie Feuer and Colin Bringas won the CIF-Southern Section doubles championship, Thursday.

Feuer and Bringas defeated Corona del Mar's pair of Jack Barnes and Quynh Tran, 6-2, 7-6 in the finals at Biszantz Family Tennis Center at Claremont McKenna College.

The duo didn't drop a set in the tournament.

They defeated Harvard-Westlake's Elliot Meth and Andrew Esrailian, 6-3, 6-4 in the quarterfinals and San Juan Hills' Hans Sempre and Ryan Meis, 6-2, 6-3 in the semifinals.

Earlier this season, Feuer and Bringas won the doubles championship at the Ojai Tournament, defeating Harvard-Westlake's Aaron Chung and Chase Klugo, 6-4, 6-2.

Thursday, the duo were named Peninsula High's male athletes of the year.

In Thursday's CIF-SS singles championships, Palos Verdes' Christian Rohberg advanced to the semifinals, where he lost to eventual champion Matteo Huarte, 6-2, 6-4.

Rohberg had wins over Kai Beeler (Campbell Hall) 6-4, 6-7, 10-8 in the second round and Loyola's Kiran Spurling, 7-6, 6-2 in the quarterfinals.
