Spurs' De'Aaron Fox Provides Positive Injury Update Before Game 1

San Antonio Spurs veteran guard De’Aaron Fox is listed as questionable to play in Monday night’s Western Conference Finals Game 1 matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Fox was listed as questionable with the same ankle injury in each of the final few games of the Spurs’ second-round playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but battled through the issue to provide key minutes for the San Antonio squad.

Fox was able to participate in the Spurs’ shootaround on Monday, and is trending toward playing again in Game 1.

“Just going through the day, trying to test it out. I’ll move my pregame up just to make sure,” Fox said after shootaround, via Spurs insider Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News.

“He’s one of the toughest guys in the league. He doesn’t miss any games,” Johnson said after Game 6. “He’s one of the guys that doesn’t talk about it much. He doesn’t show much.”

Game 1 will tipoff at 8:30 p.m. ET from Oklahoma City’s Paycom Center on Monday.
