WNBA Fans Calling For Sparks To Trade Cameron Brink

The Los Angeles Sparks are just one game into the 2026 WNBA season, and yet, people are already speculating about Cameron Brink's future.

Brink, the No. 2 overall pick from the 2024 WNBA Draft, has only appeared in 34 games over the past two years due to an ACL injury. She came into the 2026 season averaging 6.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game in her career.

Unfortunately for Brink, she didn't get a chance to showcase her skillset in the Sparks' season opener on Sunday. She came off the bench and played just eight minutes.

Sparks head coach Lynne Roberts was asked about Brink's lack of playing time during her postgame media availability. Her response was interesting to say the least.

"I mean, we need Cam to produce. We need Cam to bring that defensive energy," Roberts said. "We have so much confidence and belief in her. She's got to get out on the floor with some confidence and do what she's capable of doing. But we're going to need her."

After hearing these remarks from Roberts, fans are convinced Brink is available for the right price.

"She's 100% getting traded," one person said.

"I feel like she'd play better under a different coach. She just needs the right coach to unlock her," a fan commented.

"Cam and her team gotta request a trade. Sometimes you gotta read the room," another fan wrote.

"This is the perfect time for a competent GM to buy low on the Brink stock Fever, Valkyries, Lynx all make sense," a WNBA fan suggested.

Is a Cameron Brink trade possible?

It's not crazy to say Brink could be dealt this season. We've already seen the Chicago Sky trade away Angel Reese, who has been far more productive than Brink.

The Sparks have Brink under team control through the 2027 season, so teams interested in her wouldn't have to worry about her being a one-year rental.

For now though, Brink will try to redeem herself this Wednesday night against the Indiana Fever.
